Experienced Attorneys and Debt Resolution Professionals
If you are like most people struggling with debt, you probably can't stay current with your minimum monthly payments. That's where National Legal System's Attorneys can help. Our friendly staff of Debt Analysts and Attorneys will assist you in formulating a plan that is right for your personal situation.  We will work with you to design a realistic timeframe to resolve your debt, based on how much you owe and what you can afford on a monthly basis. We will offer guidance on how much you will have to save each month in order to reach that estimated timeframe and projected goal.

To speak with a Debt Analyst about your personal situation, please call 1-800-728-5285 or apply online and we will contact you soon to discuss your case. If you are in a rush simply complete our One Minute Application.  If you have more time we invite you to complete our Full Application, which will provide us details so we can provide you a more comprehensive evaluation.

How Does Our Service Work?
You will be set up with an affordable monthly payment, (actually a deposit) based on your balances, your budget and your personal financial goals. Your monthly payment will be drafted from your personal checking or savings account and will be deposited into our Attorney's Trust Account.  A portion of your payment is allocated towards our service fee and a portion is allocated towards your savings/reserves for your settlements. Your savings will accumulate each month, so that in time, lump sum funds become available to offer settlements to your creditors.

Each client's situation is different and the negotiation process will begin at different times depending on the amount of your debt, the particular creditors you owe and when funds become available in your resolution account. Once a favorable settlement is reached that you approve, we will instruct the creditor to fax the settlement offer in writing. Once an account is settled, the cycle continues as we move through each debt, until all of your debts have been settled.

Types of Settlements
Debts can be settled in two different ways: A One Lump Sum Settlement or a Multi-Pay Term Settlement. A Lump Sum Settlement is just that, one payment and the account is settled.  A Multi-Pay Term Settlement is paid over an extended period of time until the account is settled. Term Settlements are very effective as it provides not only a reduction in the principle, but allows you to pay the discounted amount over time.  National Legal Systems always negotiates the longest term possible to pay your settlement.

We'll Help You Understand All of Your Options
We know of no other Law Office or settlement company that spends the time we do with each client to explain every aspect of the debt resolution process. Both the benefits and potential pitfalls are explained in detail.  We'll help you sort things out and answer every question you have. Before you decide to work towards negotiating your debt with a debt resolution system, you need to know if it's right for you. It's important to understand all of the options available to you.  Our experienced Debt Analysts and Attorneys will go over the options available to you based on your personal situation. Our staff  will always tell it to you straight.  What we tell you may not be what you're hoping to hear, but we will always tell you the truth and never mislead you.  Together, we will figure out the best option for you.

It is important to understand that our debt resolution process is not the same as consolidating your debts.  While having a single monthly payment may feel like you've consolidated your debts, consolidation and debt resolution are very different. While the debt resolution process is a system to help "manage debt", its not debt management program nor is it credit counseling.  Except for payments you chose to make to your creditors outside of your debt resolution plan, creditors do not receive monthly payments through us until a favorable settlement is reached. The term "monthly payment" is used to describe the monthly amount you make each month to your debt resolution plan, however, your monthly payment is actually a "deposit" made to your debt resolution account. for the eventual payment to your creditors.
